We had an amazing stay at Nam Thanh Homestay. It's a lovely and peaceful place, tucked away but still close to the ferry. the location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the ferry terminal. Despite being on the island, there was still a local feel with very few tourists around. the host and their family were incredible, making us feel incredibly welcome. the food was delicious, and we even had the opportunity to learn how to cook traditional Vietnamese dishes. We also booked a boat trip through the homestay, which was a great experience. the host was flexible and took us around in their car. we highly recommend Nam Thanh Homestay. Cons: Everything was spot on! 😊.

Everything was nice, the apartment is goat! Room was generous sized with a comfortable bed. Best staff who provided perfect service.

The location of the hotel was great, allowing me to escape the noise and busyness of the city. The resort had a small but basic feel to it, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. One thing I really enjoyed was the excellent meals provided at the hotel. There was always plenty to eat and the food was delicious. Additionally, the free bike use allowed me to fully explore the surrounding area, which was a wonderful experience.

There were some negative aspects of my stay. I would have preferred if the dinners were served family-style, as it would have allowed everyone to try more dishes and create a communal atmosphere.

i loved the staff, they're fab. absolutely beautiful and excellent room with a mini-bar, a dining area and a seating area. food for breakfast was really good. for breakfast i went to an outdoor restaurant.

I keep coming back because of the staff's kind attitude towards my old parents on our first stay. This place suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, parking, kitchen, AC, airport shuttle, billiards. Coming back for a city trip!

All staff friendly and engaged. Family present! Hot shower. No hard sell on boat trip or optional meals. Ample breakfast. Decent English from owners. Convenient to ferry. Ambient noise didn't bother us. Bed fine and fan worked well. Lovely homestay setting and lovely island.

Unique and Fun Activities

Pedaling through the picturesque An Bình island on the free bicycles provided by the property, I felt like an adventurer exploring uncharted lands. Just like a skilled fisherman, I cast my line into the river using the fishing equipment available at the homestay. And when I needed a break, the shared lounge offered a cozy space where I could unwind and connect with other fellow travelers. These unique activities made my stay at this Vinh Long homestay truly memorable.

Limited Breakfast Time

We got great value for our money at Nam Thanh Homestay. The room was comfortable and the homestay had a lovely setting on a beautiful island. The staff treated us with kindness and were always ready to help.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with the addition of free filter water, especially considering the hot weather and lack of nearby shopping options.

The dormitory and private rooms at Nam Thanh Homestay are equipped with free WiFi, making it easy for me to stay connected with the world. The rooms have a cozy seating area where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they were always clean and well-maintained. I stayed in a triple room with a balcony, and it was absolutely amazing to wake up to the fresh air and beautiful view. The fan-cooled room came with an iPad and computer, which made my stay even more convenient. The fan-cooled mixed dormitory room accommodated up to 4 guests, providing a social and friendly atmosphere. Some private rooms even had en suite bathrooms, which offered extra privacy and convenience. In the triple room with a balcony, I appreciated the additional feature of a mosquito net to ensure a peaceful night's sleep.

Personally, I found the shared bathroom to be a minor inconvenience, but I understand that others may not mind this arrangement as much.

Free bicycles were great until mine fell apart, and the shared lounge was nice until it got overrun by a group of rowdy backpackers. The onsite restaurant served interesting Vietnamese cuisine, if you're into that sort of thing.

Just perfect, couldn't find a single flaw.

Spacious dorms with 3 double beds. Free bike tour around the area. Helpful owner arranged bus pick-up. Delicious breakfast and dinner menu. Amazingly tender fish dish.
